Right? I'm sure it's possible her parents or country's Olympic federation had the results buried and falsified, but she's a child and doesn't deserve to be punished for the actions of the adults who are supposed to be her caretakers and guidance.

I don't really follow these things much, but how old is she? Many people don't even manifest until late teens or past that (or ever), so it's distinctly possible that she had no idea.

News says she's 15. It could've easily been that perfect storm of puberty and stress to have it activate, and now trauma on top of it.

Yes, which is why it's weird they're testing mid-games. If they didn't want us competing, the various sports governing bodies and the IOC could work together to pass rules stating how elite an athlete in their given sport could become before having to be tested. Most of them already have rules in place for other situations, although they can get pretty controversial.

I am still not convinced she is one of us at all. No physical mutation, she has been a Worlds Champion twice, and they HAVE to have tested before.

Perhaps her parents or country falsified results, or perhaps China is mad because she is beating their also cheaty athletes.

I don't disagree. Convenient that their medal competition keep getting DQ'd. I suppose it's possible she is and it was buried, but someone decided they saw her doing something "weird" and got hold of some hair or something, but if that's the case the IOC needs to be punishing whichever of their people did the test pre-games and fire them for corruption and being bribable.
