See, having experienced lots of forms of magic I can't bring myself to call it "dark magic" or "sorcery" or anything like that. And with demons and stuff existing, can't refer to that either.
...so, um, let's throw a dart at thesaurus dot com and call it "chicanery". Like, my power sees patterns, right? And despite knowing that bugs are part of software, and edge cases are a thing, my power is like "THAT SHOULDN'T FUCKING WORK" because there's no pattern to finding the one spot where the game's physics engine decides to take a vacation!
i think that's where the "quantum" part of the physics comes in. take that with several grains of salt though, i'm definitely a soft science major and only know a lot about the one incredibly niche section of astrophysics i happened to work in.
I have nothing but respect for Jane, but sometimes I'm pretty convinced that people just put the word 'quantum' in front of everything when they don't actually know how it works.
